It is an exciting experience to explore an ancient and wonderful land, a jewel of history, art, and culture, as for millennia it has been a crossroads of various routes between northern Europe and Italy.
The numerous Roman and medieval monuments bear witness to this.
In ancient times, Susa was the capital of the Kingdom of the Cottians, but also the starting point of the Roman Via Domitia, as well as a stop on the Via Francigena.
And then we must not forget the gastronomic specialties of this valley, nestled among the majestic peaks of the Alps, which is the birthplace of a wide range of unique and unmistakable flavors that characterize the local cuisine.
