The FIAT plant at Lingotto is internationally recognized as a symbol of twentieth-century industrial progress.
Its revolutionary structure was designed to inspire awe and admiration from the very first stages of its construction: the test track on the roof of the building, the helical ramps, and the grandeur of the spaces still represent today a famous icon of concrete architecture and the futurist myth.
After production activities ceased in 1982, the complex underwent a complete transformation thanks to the ingenuity of architect Renzo Piano: today, the industrial plant is a must-see for anyone who wants to truly understand the history of Turin, also through a building that is a symbol of the city.
